Als kind stond ik met mijn ouders op een kleine camping. Een man met 2 Staffords was met ze aan het spelen. Toen was ik al verkocht. Al die energie, power en attitude van die 2 honden. Wauw. Ik herinner het me nog als de dag van gisteren. Dat was de eerste keer dat ik een Stafford zag, maar ook de laatste keer in vele jaren. Met name in het verleden was het niet een heel populair ras.

Jaren later kochten wij onze eerste Staffordshire Bull Terriër. Van daar zijn we gek geworden van dit game gefokte ras en is het gegroeid tot de passie die we hebben vandaag de dag.

Ik denk dat het meest kenmerkend en belangrijke aan ons ras is hun karakter. In de rasstandaard omschreven onstuimig, angstloos en volledig betrouwbaar. Op het moment dat ik ze mee naar buiten neem verneem je de energie en power. Als ze in de springpole hangen en ik kijk in hun ogen, dan wil ik het vuur zien branden. Klaar om voor je tot het einde te gaan. Mijn maatje, mijn vriend, de Staffordshire Bull Terriër.

As a kid my parents had a caravan on a small campsite. A guy with the two staffords was playing and fooling around with them. I fell in love, all the energy, power and attitude of these two dogs. I remember it like it was yesterday. That was the first time i saw a stafford, and the last time for number of years because the Staffordshire bull terrier isn’t a very popular breed in the Netherlands.

Several years later we bought our first staffordshire bull terrier. From there the love for this game bred dog kept on growing to the passion it is today.

I think the most important thing about our breed is the character, bold, fearless and totally reliable. The moment i take on of them outside to work them i want to feel the energy and power. When they hold on to the springpole and i look them in the eye, i want to see the fire burning within ready to take it to the end for you, no matter what. My buddy, my friend, the staffordshire bull terrier
